At Lumie Glass, every piece we create is a celebration of colour, craftsmanship, and place. Our artwork is lovingly handmade in Derbyshire, from our hillside house and workshop overlooking the historic town of Wirksworth—a setting so evocative it once inspired D.H. Lawrence to write about it in his novel The Rainbow. Artist and designer Carolyne brings a rich and thoughtful approach to her work, drawing on her training as a conservator, her experience working within historic buildings, and her time running a mid-century homeware shop. Since 2018, Lumie Glass has been sharing its distinctive creations with customers around the world, each piece reflecting the ever-changing colours and natural beauty of the landscape that surrounds our studio.
